I'm not doing quite so well! I need to keep a print out of my list where I can see it. But I can check off #18 - wake up before 6 a.m.... I've been waking up at 5:55 a.m. - yeah, it's only 5 minutes, but it counts! And today it was 5:30 a.m.!!
#37... pretty self-explanatory!! :) I wonder if Becky/Jena ever think to pop over and read this... If so they will be the first in the family to know!!! If not, guess they are waiting until after Joey's birthday!!!
#61 - Nothing but water/milk for 30 days.. I was actually on a roll with this one until this morning - I had a small cup of coffee. I might have to adjust some of my goals - I think it might be a little ambitious...

#2 Start a Blog
DONE! I've actually started TWO blogs! But the other is just for me... Shhhhh...
Other than that, I'm going slow and steady. I've tried to cut out caffeine, but it's a daily battle. Same with fast food - it just hasn't work out this weekend. I want to start exercising, so that's my new goal. There's just a lot going on right now!

START DAY!
Today is the first day of the next 1001 days! I'm going to try to do the no fast food for 30 days, and exercise for 30 days. I am at work today, and usually the guy that works with me will buy lunch for both of us... but today I brought my lunch. This is the hard part for me. I hate to turn down free food!
I've also been cutting down on my caffeine intake - no coffee all week, and just a few soft drinks. I'm going to try to cut that out too. August will be a no frills month, leading up to a baby shower and birthday party in September!

T-2 Days!
I "offically" start my list on Saturday, Aug 1. BUT I've been trying to do a few things just to get ready - I'm not counting them until the start date, but I've worn makeup to work for the past 2 days! I could have gotten up before 6 today, but I keep trying to get that extra hour. I'm going to work on getting up whenever I wake up, instead of trying for just a few more minutes... Bobby had a candlelit dinner ready for me when I got home last night - it was yummy! So I'll have to be sure to do that for him soon!!

Making the list
It took me about 3 hours to come up with my list of 101 things... or so I thought. Bobby met me at work with the baby, and we decided to visit some friends. On the way to their house, he reviewed my list and discovered two things... (1) there were only 100 things on my list and (2) I had put one goal twice! But I've edited the goals and added the goals and now in 7 days, I'll be ready to start!!!

Day Zero: August 1, 2009
I like lists. I like to cross things off of lists. I think my lack of focus and motivation is from my lack of lists, so to this end I am going to do the 101 things in 1001 days project.
1001 days is roughly 2.75 years. If I start on August 1, 2009, I would need to complete my list by April 28, 2012. I think it is pretty doable!
I am going to spend the next week thinking and adding to my list. Would you like to join me?
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
